Champions Choice Practice

What's your opinion on the murdered Kansas abortion doctor?
I feel very sorry for him and his family. Violence never solves anything, and it only hurts whatever cause it is trying to promote.
The murderer of the doctor has no idea how much he has HELPED the pro-abortion movement. He makes all pro-lifers look crazy.
However, I oppose third-trimester abortion as it is a cruel practice. I do not consider the fallen doctor to be a hero, much less a champion of civil/women's rights. I do consider him to be a victim of a senseless act of cruelty.
I am pro-choice when it is done early. My sympathy goes to his family, but not to his cause.
I found it strange you say it makes all pro-lifers look crazy... Most of the ardent pro life groups out their condemned the killing as soon as it happened; furthermore just about every pro life person I know condemns the death; However we don't neccessarily feel sorry for him... I'd like anyone to take a look at what killing a baby in late-term looks like; yes you can see the baby squirm and it is killing those without a voice; so no I don't feel sorry for him like I don't feel sorry for a murderer dying (this may sound harsh; but I must reiterate I DO NOT think he should have been murdered; meeting death with death gets you nowhere

Return of the Champions $18.98 When thinking of suitable replacements for Freddie Mercury in Queen, Paul Rodgers is not a name that immediately leaps to mind. As the former lead singer for Free and Bad Company, Rodgers roughly belongs to the same '70s British hard rock pack as Queen, but Rodgers is pretty much the polar opposite of Mercury: a gruff, bluesy, barrel-chested macho blues-rock belter opposed to Freddie's grandly flamboyant, eccentric glam rock showman. Yet when Queen -- or more accurately, Brian May and Roger Taylor, since John Deacon decided to stay retired -- reunited in 2005, they picked Rodgers as their frontman, perhaps because he was one of the few marquee-level names from the '70s left who wasn't working steadily. The double-disc Return of the Champions documents their concert at the Hallam FM Arena in Sheffield on May 9, 2005. The set list is pretty heavy on Queen standards, with a few Bad Company and Free songs, such as "Feel Like Makin' Love" and "All Right Now," thrown in for good measure. Queen sounds big, tight, and professional, and there's even a sense of excitement to some of the performances, as if May and Taylor are invigorated to be out on-stage again, playing these songs for an adoring crowd, while Rodgers gives a spirited performance. Listening to the album, you get the sense that it probably was a fun night out. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine, All Music GuidePerformers: Spike Edney - Keyboards, Vocals; Brian May - Guitar, Vocals; Danny Miranda - Guitar (Bass), Vocals; Jamie Moses - Guitar, Vocals; Paul Rodgers - Guitar, Vocals; Roger Taylor - Drums, Vocals |

The Champions: North Meets South $17.98 New York DJ and mixtape legend Kayslay teams with Atlanta producer and DJ Greg Street for The Champions: North Meets South, an aboveground mixtape that imitates the underground mixtape almost perfectly, right down to Kayslay's overstuffing of tracks by his protégé Papoose. It's all good since Papoose provides plenty of reasons he's one of the most talked about rappers in 2006 with some stone-cold raps that have a sting in their tail. Overall the tracks are above average, surprising since labels are rarely willing to give up real heat to mixtapes on labels like Koch until well after they've gone stale. The key track has to be the update of Shaq's 1996 hit, "Can't Stop the Reign 2006," a hard, bragging roller that now features Bun B. and -- no big surprise here -- Papoose (the remix tacked onto the end of this disc is less satisfying and feels like a bunch of freestyles tacked on top of the beat). Also worth checking is "Pop the Trunk" with a very loose Yung Joc, Papoose again, and Chamillionaire, who nails his part despite sounding like he's got a wicked cold. A handful of Diplomats do fine on "Drama Gang" but the track would be just fair without Stay Gettin''s rickety yet hypnotic production. Remy Ma's "One and Only (My Boo)" is a wonderful combination of pillow talk R&B and hard Terror Squad attitude, Ghostface's "5 Deadly Venoms" could be his excellent "Run"'s little brother, while "Big Problems" grimes up Lil Jon, Lil' Flip, Lil Scrappy, and Lil Wyte and offers a truly street-feeling track from this Southern supercrew. While the East vs. South concept never really pays off, The Champions shoots off enough raw and inspired music at such a relentless pace it really doesn't matter. ~ David Jeffries, Rovi |

Champion's Choice Bassmaster Tournament Final Weigh-In
Liberals, champions of America?
In the past, liberals have championed such causes as abolition, women's sufferage, and racism. All issues of clear moral righteousness. It surprises me that liberals today favor abortion, a practice that extingishes the spark of human life.
Has this been a misstep in the liberal movement? The cost of favoring an issue most find immoral has weaken other liberal causes, environmental protection, education, and health care.
The effect has made liberals so ineffective in politics that they cannot get support on an issue as important as global warming.
Is it time for liberals and the Democratic party to rethink their pro-choice stance?
If you are going to vote on this question, please be sure to read the last two answers. Both of these answers are excellent. One gives a conservative viewpoint, and the other a liberal viewpoint.
Thanks.
They are also behind gay marriage which most Americans disagree with and support deviant behavior in their ranks.
The liberals now "court" the far left fringe groups in the hope of getting more votes. This makes many people, myself included, disgusted with the Democratic Party.
