           Cabinet and drawer hardware is something that is easy to replace and can make a dramatic difference in the overall appearance of any room or piece of furniture. Metal knobs and pulls can become dented and scratched over time and when this happens it is important to find high quality replacements. Solid brass knobs and pulls offer classic patterns that range from simple to highly ornate and can complement any decorating theme.           Â
           Replacing the original knobs and pulls with replacements is a relatively simple task but does require some attention to detail, this is especially true when replacing older pulls. A drawer pull has two different measurements: overall length and center to center bore hole spacing. The overall length is from one end of the pull to the other while the center to center spacing is the distance between the two bolts that attach the pull to the drawer. Note: Not all pulls have the same center to center spacing – measure this distance carefully.
           Choosing a pattern is a great way to introduce or enhance a current decorating theme throughout your house. By using a common theme on different cabinets and drawers you can tie the overall look of your home together. This can also be accomplished by using the same finish or similar designs and shapes on different pieces.
