What is the law on customers returning custom made items for a full refund?
A customer asked for a variety of custom/handmade items. We say delivery would be within 14 days and actually sent within 5. They have now emailed to say there is nothing wrong with the items, but can they return them for a full refund. Being custom made items (as all my items are) the chances of somebody wanting the exact same spec are slim (sheer number of combinations) which means either losing out completely or trying to resell at a cutdown price with no customisation. I can't reuse the items. Am I obliged to give a refund under the circumstances?
If they weren't custom made, the law does clearly state you are allowed a 7 day cooling off period. Custom made I am starting to think they have not got the same right, but need something I can specificially quote from the law.

Even if they weren't custom made, the fact that there is nothing wrong with them means you aren't obliged to offer a refund at all.
Edit: The 7 day cooling off period applies to the Distance Selling Regulations 2000. These rules only apply in certain circumstances. They do not apply if you sold your goods to another business, instead of an individual.
