Harrows Darts how to get rid of industrial strength chemical rubber smell out of a mat?
I just brought a Harrows Heavy Duty Rubber Darts Mat.
It is 10kg and really thick, the problem is it's made from industrial strenth rubber to last years and put up with dart holes etc. .. but it stinks really bad.
It has a very strong smell of rubber that is overwhelming, like a chemical strong polish smell. I have had to put it in the shed to air out as it caused my girlfriend to get a headache but the odor doesn't seem to go away.
What can i soak this into get rid of the smell?
I have read white vinigar helps, but does this mean it will mask the smell with vinagar or get rid of the chemical smell?
any help would be appreciated.

Hang it over a fence outside for a full month. Flip it once in a while. That will do it.
If this is an indoor mat, wash it after this airing. Just use dish soap and water. Rinse well and let drip dry.
