Darts Level ANyone heard of the wrong ball play in football?
This is done sometimes in high school and lower levels. I was surprised i never heard about it before seeing it on youtube. Apparently it's legal.
The quarterback or center says hey, wrong ball, or this ball is wet coach, and the center picks it up after his hand was placed on it and instead of snaping it under his legs, gets up a little bit, and hands the ball around his stomach to the quarterback. It's a legal snap, it's a side snap that kids never heard of or saw.
sometime during that, the coach holds up a new ball on the sidelines, to distract the other team who probably looked over. The quarterback casually walks over like he's going to swap it out, and once he gets by their defensive ends, or their cornerbacks, he darts down the field, giving about a 5 second leave before the other team realizes it's a legal play. it looks funny as hell, anyone heard about this, or have any other funny trick plays?
While entertaining, these trick plays are designed to take advantage of a child's ignorance to the rules. There's a reason this play wouldn't work in the NFL: when the ball moves, you are fair game. I despise this type of trickery...but to actually respond to your question, there's also the Muddle Huddle. In Jr High, we ran this train wreck a couple of times. The offensive line shifts drastically to one side while the center and the backfield remain. The center is also an eligible receiver. Nothing beats a classic fumble-ruski. Not football related, I've also seen a high school basketball game where in the final seconds, a player gets down on his hands and knees and barks like a dog to distract the other team while the barking kid's teammate makes a wide-open shot.

I'm playing Fire Emblem: Rekka no Ken (Blazing Sword) on an emulator where I'm using arena abuse to raise Dart's (a berserker)

Tungsten Darts - The Choice Of Top Darts Players
So why is it that tungsten darts have proved so popular and what other types of darts have been used in the past? When we take about a tungsten dart, we are of course referring to the material that the barrel is made from.
A dart comprises of four basic parts, a point, a barrel, a shaft (or stem) and a flight. Of these four parts, the most crucial one is the barrel. This is the part of the dart you grip when you throw and it also gives the dart its weight. The shape of the barrel will vary depending on where the weight is concentrated. If the barrel is the same thickness all the way down the weight is distributed evenly, a torpedo style barrel is heavier at the front and a barrel which is thicker in the centre has the majority of its weight concentrated there.
In the early days darts were made out of wood and then for a long time barrels were made out of brass. These days although brass darts remain (particularly at the cheaper end of the market), the choice of all professionals and the majority of league players is tungsten. Tungsten (consists of an alloy of nickel and tungsten) has one distinct advantage over brass.
Tungsten is denser than brass, in other words if you had two equal amounts in volume of tungsten and brass, then the tungsten would be twice as heavy (2.15 to be exact). The advantage of this is you can achieve the same weight as a thick brass barrel, but the tungsten barrel would be a lot slimmer. This would be a lot more beneficial to a competent dart player as this leaves a lot more room in the treble bed when darts are grouped closely together, making scoring easier.
Tungsten darts come in a variety of weights from about 16 grammes up to around 30 grammes. It is important when chosing a set of darts that you get the opportunity to try out as many as possible before deciding on a set. The main thing is you feel comfortable when throwing darts before buying them.. Once you find those perfect darts, it may be an idea to purchase an additional identical set just in case they get lost or stolen. If your game or darts practice routines do go a little stale and you are striving for improvement, don't be afraid to change your darts. Phil Taylor changed his at the beginning of 2008, and following a couple of weeks of indifferent form he is now playing better than ever.
