my betta's tailfin is stuck together?
so earlier today, several hours ago, I was changing the water in my betta's tank..and they have a habit of getting sucked up in the siphon so I fill some bowls with some of the tankwater and set them all on a towel on the floor, while I was cleaning the tank two of them jumped out of the water and landed on the towel, i didnt realize until 3-5 minutes later when i was done cleaning it. The bigger fish was just fine and is just fine, but the smaller one felt drier and stickier, she seems to be doing ok now, eating fine, swimming fine, but I have a concern about her tailfin...She's a veiltail and they normally fan out as fins do when she swims, especially when she darts here and there while trying to get away from the fishnet, but her tail seems to be stuck together, it's always in a point, all folded up like they do when they die or when they dont move or are very ill...is it stuck together? will it hurt her? if so, how do I get it unstuck without tearing the fins or hurting her?
I wouldn't do anything to manually separate it (maybe add some slime coat).I doubt it's stuck together it's probably due to being injured. Besides a couple of medicines at the pet store (slime coats, salts, etc.) I can't think of anything but time that will help. Unfortunately tough lesson learned.

I too have to net my pond all year long because of the herons. I lost my favorite fan-tail koi to one. While I haven’t seen the herons lately ( we live in the burbs of Chicago and i assume that the herons have flown south), i am not taking any chances.
