Raymond Van Barneveld 9 Dart Finish at Premier League
When I play darts i throw with a good line but the height of my dart is very inconsistent, any tips?
Have someone film you from a profile so you can watch your arm and the way the dart comes out of your hand.
Get yourself a bunch of quality dartboards (I’m talking metal-tipped here, don’t fuck-fuck around with plastic darts). Dart leagues bring people in. Similarly, when people are taking their time with beer, it’s nice to have stuff to do. Other suggestions would be a foosball table. If you’re in the USA, make yourself known as the bar to go to for soccer matches. Get the soccer channels (and rugby if you can). English Premier League games on Sunday mornings will bring in a surprising amount of people, especially if you serve an excellent breakfast. Every four years, watch as it totally pays off around World Cup time. Get yourself some sort of “list” going, where you have a list of every single beer you have. Let people sign up (with an email address), and give them stuff once they reach a certain # of beers tried. 75 beers? Have a t-shirt. 150? I’d say that warrants a mug or stein. In addition, since you have their email address, you can have them opt-in to get a monthly email of all your specials, new arrivals, and a review/explanation of a certain beer or style (a “beer of the month,” if you will). Beer and cheese parties. Take some of your beers (same company, different styles) and pair them with foods or cheeses. This will take some creativity and some knowledge of beer and food, but fuck, you’re opening a bar, make it count. Sell tickets ($5 to sample 6-8 beers and finger-foods to match), explain the beer and the flavors behind them as well as how they match up with various foods. Have some excellent scotches on hand. If you don’t get the beer crowd, you could still attract people willing to pay good money to have some nice scotch. Few bars carry the really good stuff. Get a good cook. Seriously, good food makes a good bar *awesome,* especially if there are decent happy-hour specials. As far as other advice goes, I would tell you to go out around your town and see what’s lacking in other bars. Figure out what would make your bar better than every one around you, and people will flock to your spot. Add in a little tasteful social events, some random stuff here and there (Foosball World Cup? Fuck yeah.), and you’ll do fine. And if you’re hiring, I could use a job.
To me these words are common but I do not hear the word "darting" used much. Although they all have the same meaning I would take their meaning differently. To me "sprint" means running whether it is used to mean that or not. "Dash or dashing" means to go somewhere quickly because something is important where as "dart or darting" means you are going somewhere quickly to avoid something. Hope this was helpful
